Description:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will create and maintain premier public services and relations and will provide all internal and external customer groups and organizations with a positive and respectful first point of contact experience; and will perform a variety of administrative duties. You have an understanding and commitment to working with our community members that face multiple barriers.

Ideally you have:

• A minimum of 2 years of reception experience.

• Completion of an administrative office certificate or secretarial course preferred

• A combination of education and experience will be considered • Superior telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills

• High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment

• May encounter verbally abusive, aggressive and/or agitated individuals, both in person and on the telephone, therefore the ability to deal courteously, firmly, tactfully, and diplomatically with the public is a must.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook

• Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions. Personable and have a positive attitude. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands. Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment. Ability to work individually as well as a part of a team. Mathematical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• CPI certification with a focus on verbal de-escalation or willingness to obtain.

• Clear Criminal Record Check is required.
