Customer Care Program

The Customer Care Program is a 16-Week Aboriginal Training-To-Employment Program. The CCP consists of  “Setting the Foundation” (i.e. Communication/ Financial Literacy/ Time Management/ Team Building/ Personal & Interpersonal Skill development).

CCP Essential Skills: TOWES Assessments & PLATO on-line learning. Essential Skills curriculum provides a foundation for learning the following workplace skills: Reading, writing, thinking, document use, oral communication, computer use, numeracy, working with others and continuous learning.

  • Customized Essential Skills training targeted to the needs of Customer Service
  • employability skills
  • financial literacy
  • career exploration
  • goal setting Computer proficiency (Minimum 40 wpm): key boarding, data entry & College of New Caledonia certified MS Office Training (Word, Excel & Outlook).

A Holistic reflection of Aboriginal worldview will be incorporated into the training via workshops. (i.e. Overview of the First Nations of BC, history of aboriginal education, residential school intergenerational workshops, post-traumatic stress / stress reduction, and healthy relationships / the impact on employment. Personal cultural knowledge and pride in identity is stressed throughout).

The Customer Care program is supported by local industry such as Fortis BC, Telus and Local Hotels.
