Historical Background

The Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association (PGNAETA) incorporated under the British Columbia Society Act in 1993, registration # S30565, to administer and deliver Employment Training initiatives for Aboriginal people within the Prince George Nechako area.

Since incorporation PGNAETA has, by process of accepting increased responsibility in Human Resource development, provided innovative and proactive services and interventions to the Aboriginal public. The impetus for program delivery and client services is to assist the Aboriginal labour force to compete effectively in today’s labour market, assist in developing capacity for Association and First Nations staff and to develop strategies and initiatives that will result in greater impact to the local economy.
