Family Connections & Lifeskills Worker Prince George, BC Nezul Be Hunuyeh is an Indigenous Child & Family Service Agency serving the communities of Nak’azdli Whut’en, Binche Whut’en, and Tl’azt’en Nation. Under the supervision of the Manager of Child & Family Services, the Family Connection & Life skills Worker will provide one-one one and group work to children, youth, and young adults and provide transportation and supervised visits to families who belong to the communities served by Nezul Be Hunuyeh. Your dedication to this role will contribute significantly to connecting children, families, and the communities served by Nezul Be Hunuyeh. A full job description is available upon request. Type: Part-Time, Permanent Wage Grid: $26.73 - $30.65 hourly
Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise visits between children and families Complete one-on-one and group work with children, youth, and young adults to identify and create goals Actively work to develop skills to meet the goals Transportation of children, youth, young adults, and families as required Schedule visits as required; may include evenings and weekends Monitor all interaction between children and their family during family visits Actively work developing skills and meeting goals Work in cooperation with the referring Social Worker for additional supports Complete documentation as per program requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Work independently and collaboratively building effective interpersonal relationships Reflect and interpret the Agency Vision, Mission, and Core Values in their work with enthusiasm and commitment Be proficient in the use of computer programs as well as oral and written communication Have knowledge of Dakelh Culture and the communities served by Nezul Be Hunuyeh Have a flexible schedule; evenings and weekends are required Have a relevant post-secondary education in Human Services and/or Youth Services; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered Applicants must agree to & provide an acceptable Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Clearance Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License & provide an acceptable Driver’s Abstract TO APPLY SUBMIT RESUME AND COVER LETTER TO: Via email to hiring@nbh.ca with the subject line: Part-time Permanent Family Connections & Lifeskills Worker PG
