Enbridge is looking for an individual interested in supporting Indigenous Nations and community organizations across Canada in accessing community investment funding.

Location:  Flexible, at an Enbridge regional office across Canada

Posting End Date: April 16, 2021

Position Term:  May 10 to August 27, 2021

What you will do:

  • Support engagement with Indigenous Nations and community organizations across Canada
  • Communicate information about our new online community investment platform and application process externally and support Indigenous Nations and community organizations in applying and accessing funding to support local initiatives
  • Assist in communicating approvals/declines and resolving any payment issues or redirecting of Enbridge funding
  • Assist and support the implementation of regional engagement plans to build, maintain and enhance Enridge's reputation as a trusted corporate citizen
  • Provide recommendations for Community Investment opportunities in support of Corporate Community Investment policies
  • Assist with funding presentations and cheque deliveries
  • Participate in and support cultural awareness training initiatives
  • Record meeting notes and track action items
  • Document engagement activities using an engagement database

Who you are:

  • A student with at least 1 semester of post-secondary and returning to school in the fall
  • Possess a genuine interest in learning about Community and Indigenous Engagement
  • Passionate about community investment and supporting local initiatives
  • Comfortable engaging with external and internal groups in a virtual format and in-person
  • Comfortable working in an office environment with some limited travel

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • An understanding of First Nations, Metis and Inuit history and culture
  • The ability to take direction, work independently and as part of a virtual team environment
  • The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid written and verbal communication, presentation and organizational abilities
  • Ability to understand, follow and stay up to date with COVID safety protocols and restrictions
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
