Wage: $23.00 per/hour

Type of Position:  Permanent Full-time

Hours:  37.5 hrs/week

 

General Description:

The Economic Development and Natural Resources departments are seeking an Office Coordinator who can provide support to our departments and create a more productive work environment.  The ideal candidate for this position is an organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.  You are deadline-driven, with a strong work ethic and a background in office administration.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Lheidli T'enneh Nation, community and territory
  • Strong understanding of business development including resource sector related opportunities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high demand, complex work environment
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality with a demonstrated ability to effectively handle sensitive information

Office Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
  • Schedule, coordinate and preparation of meetings and events
  • Taking of meeting minutes and distribution
  • Collate and distribute mail
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Prepare communications, such as emails, invoices, memos, briefing notes and other correspondence
  • Maintain office supplies/equipment via PO system
  • Develop and track program budgets as directed
  • Make travel arrangements and generate itineraries
  • Access funds via partnership collaboration, grants, proposals
  • Provide general departmental support

Office Coordinator Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in office administration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make daily decisions
  • Ability to multi-task and focus
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
