ORGANIZATION SUMMARY The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and its employees are committed to a proactive holistic approach to health and wellness, and to the delivery of services which are sustainable and honour the customs and traditions of First Nations communities.
POSITION SUMMARY The Director is responsible for the strategic leadership to operationalize Primary Health Care to advance First Nations health and wellness in BC. The Director engages all stakeholders to facilitate changes necessary to the success of primary care projects, including but not limited to eHealth and JPB investments. Responsible for setting the direction, coordination, facilitation and sustainability of fully integrated primary health care services within the regions, enabled by eHealth programs and services. The Director works to identify relevant infrastructure, providers, and community resources in each designated area. The Director collaboratively works with physicians, allied health providers, to integrate the key attributes of PHC as it evolves in BC. Provides advice and expertise to the FNHA and Regional Executive Directors in support of the development and operations of primary health care and strategic initiatives for a sustainable delivery model supporting First Nations health and wellness. Engages, collaborates, represents, and advises on integrated primary health care services and related key initiatives at the federal, provincial and regional levels and with internal and external stakeholders.
