About Us

The Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association (PGNAETA) provides a wide array of services to seventeen First Nations, and Urban/Rural Centers in the field of Aboriginal Human Resource Development, with new and exciting initiatives aimed at increasing the opportunity for Aboriginal People to impact local economies.

Our Association, located in the hub of the North, has built a reputation for delivering an array of services. We have worked diligently to develop our capacity and to share capacity with the Aboriginal Communities. Our strategic plan reflects the need to incorporate services, encourage a diversified workforce and implement programs aimed at long term sustainability. PGNAETA's services are provided to Aboriginal clients who represent widely divergent backgrounds in terms of education, skills & experience, including First Nations peoples, both on and off reserve and those residing in urban and rural settings.

In addition, services extend to the urban and rural citizens residing in Mackenzie, Prince George, Valemont/McBride, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake, Fort St. James, Burns Lake and Granisle.

As a means of keeping community members informed PGNAETA has developed a Community Scorecard which provides an overview of strategic goals in four categories. The categories include Community Capacity, Service Delivery Model, Partnership Agreements & Accountability.
